The clouds and the sky painted a picture of love and Joanna and Illia walked the beach. These two love birds were a ray on sunshine while also having fun in the process. During this session you could see the love these two had for each other as we wish them a beautiful engagement. We can’t wait to see them walking down the aisle and Step Into The Limelight.

Liana and Mike had an amazing wedding at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa. I had the privilege of meeting this lovely couple a few months prior when we took engagement photos at Sandy Beach. They were so much fun and so lively together, it truly was a great time for all of us! The wedding day finally arrived and both Mike and Liana along with their friends and family were more than excited for the big day. Mike and Liana said their I-Do’s on the terrace which overlooked the water. The weather was PERFECT and their ceremony space was beautifully decorated with white chairs, floral arrangements at the front and on the chairs - classic and elegant!
The reception that followed was just as beautiful with purple up-lit walls, white roses and green foliage center pieces and a cake which had two seahorse right at the top to give it just the right amount of ocean flair. To end the night full of happy moments, the couple had a nice streamer sendoff with all their guests surrounding them. It was pretty neat and a night to remember.

Brittany + Troy first met at an Army training event at Fort Dix in New Jersey. Troy caught Brittany’s eye when she observed how caring, patient and goal oriented he was. Their conversations started by discussing their awesome Army skills and then progressed to talking about their love of family, food, and future business ventures. They also discovered that they are both graduates from a Historically Black College or University!
Brittany and Troy have both been deployed, and knowing that Troy would have to leave again soon they spent every moment together traveling. While traveling, Brittany would talk about her future goals and they eventually became his as well. It was during this treasured time that Brittany knew that she wanted him to be her husband.
During one of Troy’s previous deployments Brittany wrote him a love letter to which he claimed to “never have received.” However, on April 15th, 2017 Brittany and Troy were hosting a housewarming party…Troy used this event as a platform to propose to Brittany. It wasn’t just any type of proposal, he got down on one knee and proposed to Brittany by reading her the “lost love letter” that she sent him during his deployment. Of course she said yes! Troy say’s Brittany enhances his life in every aspect. She is constantly setting goals and it is only a matter of time before she reaches them. There is nothing that she can’t do.
Even though Troy and Brittany are not from this area, they have been visiting Florida for years. They love being able to enjoy they warm weather and tropical feel during the winter months. Since they love to travel, they knew it would be great for their family as well. Brittany and Troy styled their wedding to be the epitome of black elegance with a Nubian twist and I have to admit black, royal blue, and gold never looked SO GOOD!
Congratulations Brittany + Troy, I loved hearing you say “I’m married!” to your guests. It was such a happy and heartfelt moment!

I walked into a room full of laughter. The bride, Michelle, I couldn’t even find at first as she intermingled about the ladies taking in all the moments without stress and with radiance. As we set to do details all the ladies gathered together, one feeding off of the other laughing and joking as though they were family, and that they were. The guys were the same, Carlos photographed them and they went about joking amongst another not forgetting what the day was about as Matt got ready. We took full appreciation of them before the ceremony, gravitating toward their warmth and excitement! What stood out the most was not the weather (though it shaded them when they walked down the aisle and said their I do’s, to providing a beautiful sunset) or the choice style (elegant with a splash of a nautical feel) or their decision where to marry (on the beautiful Terrace the Hyatt Regency provides), it was the gracious manner they held for others, the love for one another not losing its importance and their son that made it standout the most. Even before Matthew saw Michelle for the first time, he was choked up. He anticipated the woman walking to him and gravitated into the moment. Michelle, the gorgeous bride in return found her moment as her mother gave her away to the love of her life and father to her son. They said their I do’s overlooking the Gulf on the terrace, they involved themselves with each guest, they laughed and joked with everyone around and in-between that kept close to one another. They danced the night away. Every piece of their day ran smoothly. Matt joked that he made sure he picked up a penny that day only heads up, but I believe it had nothing to do with luck, this perfect wedding everything to do with them and their mindset. Not only did these two have a most beautiful day, but all that was put into it, every loved one, every detail, all the celebration made it perfect for them. Congratulations to Michelle and Matt, we loved every aspect of your wedding and are so grateful you chose Limelight to be a part of it! Here are a few favorites from that day!

Lauren and Drew were so amazing to work with during their beautiful Clearwater beach wedding. Sitting atop the 16th floor of the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort is this amazing spot called the Sky Terrace, with views over looking Clearwater beach and the ocean beyond, it’s an amazing place to say I Do.
From Indiana this couple set out on an adventure to have a beautiful beach wedding… they were graced with a perfect FL day, not a cloud in the sky, a cool breeze and an amazing sunset. Their two sweet girls were the flower girls and held parasol umbrellas that said on one “Here Comes” and on the other “Your Bride”, which I thought was so sweet and fun for the girls. You could see how special they felt to be such an important part of the ceremony and we can’t leave out the ring bearer who walked in holding his little black briefcase that said “Ring Security”.
After taking some beautiful shots of the family all together, we did some wedding party shots and then headed down to the beach for some more fun wedding party shots and some Bride and Groom sunset shots. After pictures on the beach, Lauren and Drew had a wonderful reception with an amazing dinner for their guests. I loved their shell details surrounded by candle light, their beautiful cake also with shell details and of course lots of dancing.
